Why Fiberglass?
Look around for items made from fiberglass, and you’ll find plenty – recreational and commercial boats, canoes, automotive components, furniture, hot tubs, planters, lightweight ladders, aircraft, home oil tanks, water slides, casts for broken bones, and even advanced prosthetic limbs.
You will find this composite material of glass fiber and resin used everywhere in our daily lives to resist the effects of weather, to improve thermal efficiency, to save weight, and to resist impact without warping or cracking.
With colour built right in, the finish is integral to the construction of fiberglass components, so no painting is required. Fiberglass will not rust or corrode, so ongoing maintenance is not an issue. Why fiberglass? We think the real question is: why not?
